FOR SALE! Howlin' At the MOon

Howlin' At The Moon aka: Hank is a black, 12.2 hand, 15 year old, mixed breed pony. Hank has only had a few owners, and is only offered for sale because his current owner's daughter is getting out of riding. He's been around the block on the 4H circuit, knows the ropes of the english show ring and is truly a great teacher for any level of child rider. His current owner is 7 and he taught her to canter, jump and took her to her first few horse shows. Hank loads easily, trailers quietly, stands nicely on cross ties, and is polite for the farrier and vet. He hacks out alone or with other horses, and is more of a kick ride. Perfect first pony to learn to ride on and a true seasoned veteran at horse shows. $4,500 OBO. For more information or to set up a time to try Hank please call Paetra Hennigar at 707.266.8919 or email at phennigar1990@gmail.com.

For SALE! VIctor's Boy

Victor’s Boy aka: Bentley is a9 year old, 17.1 hand, Chestnut, OTTB. This big boy is as sweet as they come and handsome too! He came off the track as a 4 year old, and was initially retrained for the low hunter ring for the first year of his new career. Purchased as a 6 year old by his current owner, he began training for the dressage ring. Trained and competed locally at Training Level, Bentley has three lovely gaits and has been schooling the beginning of 1st Level work, leg yields, trot lengthening, etc. At his first local dressage show he stole the Overall High Score Award with a 72%. Due to finances he hasn’t been shown much, but he loads, trailers and ties like a gentleman! He has some floating bone chips in his left front fetlock area that were from an injury at the track years ago. Due to those chips, he is unfortunately unsuitable for any jumping and probably will not pass a vet check with x-rays to that area. He is currently sound and is very suitable to continue moving up the levels in dressage with continued training. Bentley is very level-headed, hacks out willingly out with other horses or alone on trails, stands in x-ties quietly for the farrier, and is genuinely a pleasure to work with. This guy only wears front shoes and currently lives out with other geldings. Due to a change in his owner’s living circumstances he is regrettably offered for sale at $2,700 OBO. FOR ON-FARM LEASE! SCOUTING FOR POPPY

Scouting for Poppy AKA: “Scout” is looking for someone to lease him! His owner is interested in finding a half lease or full lease for this fun boy. He is currently living at his owner’s house in Millville, NJ. Scout is a 10 year old, 15.3hh, Quarter Horse, liver chestnut, gelding. He was picked up at the Cranbury Auction this past New Years Eve by his current owner. We do not know his history but he definitely has western training, he neck reins beautifully and shows a little potential that he maybe had some ranch horse training work done in the past. His owner has had him in western dressage training with me for the past six months. He has three lovely gaits, great brakes and a go button IF you ask him for it, generally he’s on the lazier side though. We have solidified proper bending, smooth transitions and easy work in the western dressage ring with him since he started training. He has shown locally and placed in the top three each time with scores well above 60% in WDAA Intro Test 1 through WDAA Basic Test 2. His most recent scores were, WDAA Basic Test 1 71.6% and WDAA Basic Test 2 72.6%. Judges love him! He’s not spooky at new places, trucks around the ring like a pro, no buck, bolt, or rear. He’s easy to load and trailer, ties, and cross ties nicely. With his unknown history we suspect he may have been roughly handled at some point in the past, he is slow to warm up to people and can be a little sensitive to ride, so ideally someone with decent previous horse experience and a quiet rider would be perfectly suited for him. He trail rides like a pro as well, out alone or with other horses, his temperament and attitude never change in the ring or out of it. Any lease on this boy is on-farm at his owner’s place only. Lessee’s have access to riding in her paddock which is a sand base so footing is usually decent and drains quickly after rain. Lessee’s also have access to miles of trails in the woods directly behind the property. A half-lease on Scout is $200/month, and a full-lease is $400/month. For more information or to set up a time to come try Scout, please contact Paetra Hennigar by phone at 707.266.8919 or by email at phennigar1990@gmail.com.
