Paetra Hennigar

Paetra Hennigar began riding at age eight and has since then immersed herself in the equine industry as a student, rider, teacher, trainer, groom and manager. She grew up in California riding and working in Three-day Eventing, Dressage and Hunter/Jumper barns under such trainers as Matthew Brown and Cecily Clark, Louise Labrucherie, Brittany Savory and Julie Young. In 2011 she re-located to Pennsylvania and has since worked and ridden with a few more great trainers including Chris Grant, Katie Rinda, Barbara Kohr, Chris Hurlbert-Gemmil and Erin Knepper. Over the years she has competed in three-day eventing and hunter/jumpers in both California and Pennsylvania. She continued her own training by participating in clinics with Beth Clark, Major Jeremy Beale, Henrick Johansen, Steuart Pittman,Karen Healey, Christine Betz and Sally Cousins. In September 2012 she decided to open her own business, Green Gate Equine Services, which offers training, teaching and sales. One of Paetra's passions within the horse world is to work with young, abused or neglected horses. She enjoys working with them to gain their trust and then helping them find their niche in the world. In addition to training, Paetra enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge of horses with her students of all levels and ages. Paetra relocated to southern New Jersey in July 2014 and is currently training in dressage with Carol Conner of Blue Moon Dressage in Bridgeton, New Jersey. She plans to attempt to achieve her USDF Bronze Medal scores in the next few years, with her long term goal being to achieve all her USDF Medals and Musical Freestyle Bars. She has chosen to not open a full facility of her own in NJ as she had running in PA and focus more on freelance teaching and training jobs that she picks and chooses to allow her schedule to stay flexible for her Internet Marketing work.
